To be frank, it would have been a lot easier to open another wedding venue that's 30 miles outside of town and down some gravel road than one in the center of town with all of the city's red tape, but we love Springfield. Our heart is that The Neighbor would be a place that kicks of marriages, helps you celebrate milestones, and hosts all your special occasions, but most of all we hope these beautiful events serve our city well, and contribute to it's flourishing.

Garrett and Rose Cochran purchased this old, empty, overlooked building in Spring of 2023. As their vision for the space developed they realized their long-term dream of opening a space for hosting was actually much closer than they thought! Through a lot of planning, designing, and sacrificing, The Neighbor was dreamt up. It belongs to the Cochrans for a time, but they are merely stewards of all it can be.

So what makes The Neighbor different than other venues? Aside from being the most stunning venue inside of Springfield, our sights are set on one thing-YOUR EXPERIENCE. The wedding/event planning season can be quickly become a pain amidst all the details, and while we can't make everything a breeze, we can make your experience at The Neighbor smooth, calming, and exciting. We won't nickel and dime you. We won't withhold our assistance and supplies. We're focused on treating you like our neighbor.
